Wonderful images!!! The renderings are very appealing, especially the way the color "bleeds out" with that "color applied to wet paper" look.
I have a friend returning to her family home in the Czech Republic for a month or two. Maybe I can have her locate a copy of that edition for me. Gotta have it!

That's one of the coolest ideas I've seen for blending realistic fur into pictures which are overall very stylized. I'll have to try that.

Wow! This is a lovely find! I had to go out to Flickr and get all the larger versions, just to see the detail. I really love the feelings that good ink and watercolor can convey. I wonder if it would ever be possible to animate artwork like this? A movie in this style would truly be something to see.

I've not read it, but I hear the book's a LOT different, not only in story but in themes and such. Another case of Disney sanitization, supposedly?
